Cricket is a very exciting sport which has its roots long back in England. The sport has produced great legends, both batsmen and bowlers. I mention here about some of the greatest batsmen and bowlers of all times. I start with batsmen.

1. Sir Donald Bradman - Without doubt, he is the best test batsman of all times. He was born and brought up in Australia. He is said to be the best sportsman that any sport has ever produced. In his long cricketing career of 20 years, he is remembered to produce great heroics. From his third test innings onwards, he averaged over 50 consistently. At the end of his 80 innings test match career (in which he scored 6996 runs, with a best of 334 to his name), he averaged 99.94, which, no batsman can even surpass. In his first Ashes test series in England (1930), Bradman scored 974 runs at an average of 139.14, with four centuries, including two double hundreds and a triple. As of 2012, no-one has matched or exceeded 974 runs or three double centuries in one Test series; the record of 974 runs exceeds the second-best performance by 69 runs and was achieved in two fewer innings.

2. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar - He is one of the finest cricketers the game has ever produced. He has 100 centuries to his name, in both forms - one day and test - of the game included.
